Starvation Resevoir

While Rob and Brett were at EFY, the rest of the family went camping at Starvation. And yes, the place got its name from earlier settlers who tried to settle there, and ended up starving because the land is desolate and the winters were freezing.

We stopped at the Heber Valley Dairy Keen.  Tom loves the trains. But even more, we loved the drink machine this year. It had about 100 flavors of drinks.  The kids chose Hi-C, then you had all the flavors you could add - lime- cherry- etc. It was lots of fun!

 Roastin' S'mores!

We loved the giant "Campfire" marshmallows!

 They made great smores!

We had a great view from our campsite. And yes, luckily it did have a tree or two.

Nowadays, Starvation has a beautiful reservoir in the middle of the desert. We took our boat and the Davis's. We enjoyed cooking s'mores at night and German Pancakes in the morning.

 Lauren is Topher's age.

Parley, Josh, Taylor and Kendra Davis

The Bishop and Randy got up on skis.  Kendra didn't even try, (the water was cold!) and I tried many times and am still unsuccessful. Oh well, I still like being on the water!

We had a great day out on the lake. The kids also really enjoyed the beach area, where they snorkeled and played on the tube.

The campsites luckily had warm showers which we thoroughly enjoyed! Then, we got the end the evening with a beautiful sunset!!!
