On Saturday, we got to play pioneer. We all dressed up in pioneer clothes, got
grouped as families, and we hiked up and down the gully. Pulling a handcart can
be hard work, especially when you are going on trails only wide enough for a
person or perhaps for a horse, and when
there is a fairly steep drop off on one side.
Then, we got the chance to practice our Dutch oven cooking.
It was a fun day. and a great experience to train us how to be "Ma's and
Pa's."
