Baseball game turned Band Concert

Wednesday night, Robbie and Brett's baseball team faced each other head to head. Unfortunately for baseball, both of them had a band concert that same night for school. They played the first 45 minutes of the game, then changed in the car, to be ready for their band concert.

Rob has done a great job as catcher for the Diamondbacks this year. Brett has played second base, and outfield for the A's.

When we left for the concert, the score was 7-3 for the A's. The Diamondbacks fought back, winning the game 14-13.

Brett is the Batter and Rob is the Catcher.

I enjoyed only going to one game, and being able to watch both boys. Although, it is a little hard because you are guaranteed one winner and one loser. And it is a little disconcerting (traitorous, even) to other parents, of both teams, to be routing for everyone!

We then attended the band concert at Eastmont Middle School. Brett is a part of the Jazz III. They practice after school on Tues. and Thurs. Brett even played a Trombone Solo! Great Job, Brett! Brett also plays in the beginning band. This is his first year playing a trombone.

This is Rob's second year in band. He loves it! Rob plays in Jazz II which meets 3 days a week, before school, at 7 am! Early!! Rob is doing a fabulous job on his trumpet!
