This trail was unique because on Odd Numbered days, you can bring along you dog - off leash! There were lots of dogs! Small ones and big ones... It was amazing to see all the dogs. At the end of the three mile hike, was a lake where all the dogs splashed and swam.
| Max loved to drink and play in the creek! |
We (or maybe I should say I) loved the beautiful panoramic vistas - and being in the middle of the mountains! It was gorgeous!
The kids found a log to sit on while they wait for me to take pictures!
Max loved the lake and chasing other dogs. He wasn't interested in going into the water any deeper that he could comfortably stand. He wasn't fond of swimming!
The boys loved to catch bugs (called pond skimmers) And they were quite good at it. (yuck!) And we enjoyed lunch in the shade, by the lake.
I loved all the wild flowers that are in bloom right now. Amazing colors!
Sometimes the path got real narrow. On even days, you are allowed to bike on this trail. But in some places, I don't know how you would pass an oncoming bike!
It was amazing to get away from the city for awhile and enjoy all that nature! It is amazing to be a part of God's creations!
The kids had a great time and Max loved it too! What a great end to summer. Now, back to school:(
