San Francisco

Monday morning, we packed our bags and headed to McDonald's for a quick breakfast. Kevin and Andrew met us and we drove up to San Francisco.  For what turned out to be a spectacularly gorgeous day.  The sun was shining and not cloudy or overcast! Wow!

Heading to SF. It is fun to go over bridges!

Randy and Kevin, Allen and Liesl went to park the cars. Which left Mom and I with 9 children in San Francisco.  (Are you kidding me?!!!)   So, we assigned everyone a buddy, and off we went to walk the half mile or so back to the pier where we would catch the boat to Alcatraz.

Andrew and Rob hit it off really well and were buddies pretty much the entire trip.

Brett and Ella made a great team!

 Andrew loved the boat ride!!

The pictures just don't do it justice.  It was so beautiful!  The sun just shown down on the city and the view was amazing from the boat!

We listened to the Ranger talk about Alcatraz escape attempts while Andrew "seemed" to have his own class going over in the corner.

The Ranger talked about some men who tried to escape by swimming to shore.  He told about "Some crazies" who swim from Alcatraz to SF every year.  We were so proud that Kevin was one of the crazies!  Kevin has swum from Alcatraz to SF!!!!

Tom loved the birds!
