But Robbie and Brett have been spending Tuesdays after school in the chess club. They have had fun, and made a few new friends. The last few weeks all 27 of the chess kids have been challenging each other to qualify for one of 6 spots to go to the district tournament.
Brett placed #1! Congrats to Brett. So Brett played all the schools #1 champion. Unfortunately, on the day of the tournament, Brett was extremely sick. But he battled through it, and had a great time at the tournament.
Rob, placed 7th. A bummer, but he still got to attend the event as an alternate. He was able to play a game or two, with some of the other alternates. I think our school, Eastmont, placed 4th.
